Brompton Community School Summer Camp

BCS Summer Camp has arrived! We are excited to introduce a stellar line-up of fledgling camps this year. Some important information to know:

Camp cost: $195 for each half-day camp.
Full-day Option: Campers staying for a full day should bring a bagged lunch.
We'll enjoy lunch and relaxed outdoor free play from 12-1 each day.
A completed Camp Registration & Virginia Health Information Form is required prior to the start of camp.
Minimum participation of 6 campers per session
Maximum participation of 12 campers *with the exception of Dragons & Dungeons Camps which has a maximum of 6 participants.

No experience required -just bring your curiosity, a sense of adventure, and a friend (or two)!

Spots are limited, and we can't wait to spend part of the summer learning and exploring together.

Nature Intensive Class: Spring Salamander Study

Nature Intensive students joined Wildlife Biologist Tim Stamps to study Virginia’s salamanders and their unique habitats. After learning about their life cycles, students conducted a stream survey, identifying and recording local species while practicing gentle handling and accurate data collection. Their discoveries: Over 30 salamanders and other forest finds made for a memorable day of hands‑on science and outdoor learning.

Bird Identification: Be a Citizen Scientist

Just before the snow arrived, we were gearing up for a schoolwide focus on bird identification. Project FeederWatch is a popular citizen science program presented by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and offers a wonderful way to introduce our community to the birds that share our habitat.
